Baruch atah Adonai, Eloheinu Melekh Ha-Olam, Dayan Ha-Emet.

Bountiful are You, Adonai our God, Sovereign of the Universe, who is the Judge of Truth.

(1) A psalm of David.

Eternal One, who may sojourn in Your tent,

who may dwell on Your holy mountain?

(2) One who lives without blame,

who does what is right,

and in their heart acknowledges the truth;

(3) whose tongue is not given to evil;

who has never done harm to their fellow,

or borne reproach for their neighbor;

(4) who spurns a contemptible person,

but who honors those who are in awe of the Eternal;

who stands by their oath even to their own hurt;

(5) who has never lent money at interest,

or accepted a bribe against the innocent.

The one who acts thus shall never be shaken.

(2) God makes me lie down in green pastures; leads me to water in places of repose; (3) renews my life; God guides me in right paths for that is God's way. (4) Though I walk through a valley of deepest darkness, I fear no harm, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff—they comfort me. (5) You spread a table for me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. (6) Surely goodness and kindness shall pursue me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the God's house of for many long years.

A time for planting and a time for uprooting the planted;

(3) A time for slaying and a time for healing,

A time for tearing down and a time for building up;

(4) A time for weeping and a time for laughing,

A time for wailing and a time for dancing;

(5) A time for throwing stones and a time for gathering stones,

A time for embracing and a time for shunning embraces;

(6) A time for seeking and a time for losing,

A time for keeping and a time for discarding;

(7) A time for ripping and a time for sewing,

A time for silence and a time for speaking;

(8) A time for loving and a time for hating; A time for war and a time for peace.

Exalted compassionate God, grant infinite rest in Your sheltering Presence, among the holy and pure ones who shine like the splendor of the firmament, [for] the soul of Nick, who went to his world; let the Garden of Eden be his resting place. Master of Compassion, we ask that our loved find perfect peace in Your eternal embrace. May his soul be bound up in the bond of life. God is his inheritance and let him rest in peace. And let us say Amen.

Oseh shalom bimromav, hu ya’aseh shalom aleinu v’al kol-yisrael, v’imru: “amen.”
