With regard to the seven Noahide mitzvot that preceded the giving of the Torah that even you accepted, where is the proof that you fulfilled them?
מתני' שאיני נהנה לבני נח - שלא יהנה מכל בני נח שכל העולם יצאו מבני נח:
The whole world came from the sons of Noah:
מתני' קונם שאיני נהנה לבני נח מותר בישראל - ואע''ג דישראל נמי בני נח נינהו כיון דאיתקדש אברהם אבינו איקרו על שמיה ולא על שם נח:
It is permissible for Israel to curse the sons of Noah, because Israel was called the sons of Noah, because Abraham, our father, was sanctified, because of her name, not because of Noah's name:
1. Know that there is only one God, Infinite and Supreme over all things. Do not replace the Supreme Being with limited idols, whether they are of other beings, or yourself. Included in this commandment are prayer, study, and meditation.
2. Respect the Creator. As frustrated or angry as you may be, never express such feelings by cursing the Creator.
3. Do not commit murder. Each human being, like Adam (Adam) and Java (Eve), constitute an entire world. Saving a life is saving an entire world. To destroy a life is to destroy a world. Helping others to live is a corollary of this principle.
4. Respect the institution of marriage. Marriage is a divine act. The union of a man and a woman is the reflection of the unity of God and His creation. Dishonesty in marriage is a violation of that Unity.
5. Do not steal. Conduct yourself honestly in all your dealings. Trusting in God and not in our self-indulgence, we express our faith in Him as Provider of Life.
6. Respect God's creatures. At the dawn of creation, man was the gardener of the Garden of Eden, "to work it and protect it." In the beginning, man was forbidden to harm animals. After the great flood, he was allowed to eat meat, but with a warning: Do not cause unnecessary suffering to any animal.
7. Maintain justice. Justice is God's business, but we have been entrusted to institute the necessary laws and enforce them whenever we can. When we correct the errors of society, we act as partners in the act of sustaining creation.
And they ask: And no? Do the Gentiles not get paid for them? And the stipulation [and after all, it is a sin in the raita], Rabbi Meir would say: Why is it that even he is a Gentile and deals with the Torah that he is such a high priest? You will learn to say: "Whatever a man does with them and lives in them" (Leviticus 18:5), Leviticus and Israelite priests are not said, but "the man", in general, did you learn from this, that even a Gentile who deals with the Torah - after all, he is like a high priest, which means that they receive a reward!
a) the prohibition against worship of false gods;
b) the prohibition against cursing God;
c) the prohibition against murder;
d) the prohibition against incest and adultery;
e) the prohibition against theft;
f) the command to establish laws and courts of justice.
Even though we have received all of these commands from Moses and, furthermore, they are concepts which intellect itself tends to accept, it appears from the Torah's words that Adam was commanded concerning them.
The prohibition against eating flesh from a living animal was added for Noah, as Genesis 9:4 states: 'Nevertheless, you may not eat flesh with its life, which is its blood.' Thus there are seven mitzvot.
These matters remained the same throughout the world until Abraham. When Abraham arose, in addition to these, he was commanded regarding circumcision. He also ordained the morning prayers.
Isaac separated tithes and ordained an additional prayer service before sunset. Jacob added the prohibition against eating the sciatic nerve. He also ordained the evening prayers. In Egypt, Amram was commanded regarding other mitzvot. Ultimately, Moses came and the Torah was completed by him.
With regard to any gentile who does not serve false deities, e.g., the Arabs: It is forbidden to drink his wine, but it is permitted to benefit from it. The Geonim rule in this manner. With regard to those who worship false deities, by contrast, it is forbidden to benefit from their ordinary wine.
A gentile who observes the seven universal laws commanded to Noah and his descendants is on a very high rung.
