Our DNA

(י) אוֹמְרָ֤ה ׀ לְאֵ֥ל סַלְעִי֮ לָמָ֢ה שְׁכַ֫חְתָּ֥נִי לָֽמָּה־קֹדֵ֥ר אֵלֵ֗ךְ בְּלַ֣חַץ אוֹיֵֽב׃

(10) I say to God, my rock, “Why have You forgotten me, why must I walk in gloom, oppressed by my enemy?”

(ג) שְׁלֹשׁ עֶשְֹרֵה מִדּוֹת הָאֲמוּרוֹת בַּחֲנִינָה. נָא כָּל־מִדָּה נְכוֹנָה, אֲחַלֶּה פְּנֵי־מַלְכִּי בִּתְחִנָּה. לְחַפֵּשֹ זְכוּת כְּנוּיִים קְרוּאִים שׁוֹשַׁנָּה. מַלְּטֵם מִכָּל־רָעוֹת בְּזֹאת הַשָּׁנָה:

(3) Thirteen Divine attributes which were pronounced with compassion; by virtue of every fitting attribute, I beseech the Presence of my King with supplication, to search for the merit [of Israel] who were named and called the Rose. Save them from all evil in this year.

(ז) אִם־זְדוֹנוֹת הִשִּׁיאוּ לֵב־טִפֵּשׁ וְנִשְׁחַץ. נָא כָּל־מִדָּה נְכוֹנָה, חַלֵּץ אוֹתָם יקוק מִמַּחַץ. חוּשׁ וּבֹא וְשָֹא קוֹל־נַחַץ. לָמָּה־קֹדֵר אֶתְהַלֵּךְ בְּלַחַץ:

(7) If willful sins have misled the foolish and haughty heart; [then] by virtue of every fitting attribute, save them, God, from crushing wounds, hasten and come, and lift up the strong voice [of redemption] “Why do I go mourning under oppression.
