The S(t)on(e) the Builders Rejected
The Targum on the Psalms reads hebrew 'even' for stone as if it said 'ben' for son.
The stone that the builders rejected
has become the chief cornerstone.
This is the LORD’s doing;
it is marvelous in our sight.
The boy the builders rejected;
he was among the sons of Jesse and he was privileged to be appointed as king and ruler.
"This is from YHWH," said the builders;
"It is marvelous before us," said the sons of Jesse.
