A Moment of Hebrew

“Place fire in them and lay ketoret (incense) on them before God tomorrow. The person who God will choose is the holy one. You have gone too far, children of Levi!”
לִבְחֹר livhor (שֹׁרֶשׁ ב.ח.ר)
  • To choose or pick
  • To vote
בְּחִירוֹת (behirot) = Elections
מֻבְחָר (muvhar) = Top quality
נִבְחֶרֶת (nivheret) = Team (often a "top" team)
בֵּית הַנִּבְחָרִים (beit ha-nivharim) = Parliament
Find the Word!
Yitro, Moshe’s father-in-law, gives Moshe advice to appoint people who can help him judge Benei Yisrael. Can you find where this שֹׁרֶש (shoresh, root) describes Moshe choosing these judges? (Hint: Look at Shemot 17.)
