Method

More than the melodies! At Nava Tehila, we've developed chant-based prayer services that are inclusive, ecstatic, and transformative. Ready to bring this musical prayer method to your community? Check out our tutorials.

Kavvanot

In the Nava Tehila method, kavvanot — intentions for inner engagement with the words of prayer — are developed through close attention to the language of the psalms: Pshat, Midrash, and Kabbalistic and Hasidic illumination.

Happy are those who dwell in Your house; they forever praise You. Selah.

You give it openhandedly, feeding every creature to its heart’s content.

Story

We wrote this melody for the Ohalah Jewish Renewal Rabbis' Conference in 2020, where we were keynote presenters and sang it with an amazing group of international Levites. At the time, we only had Part A of the melody.
