(20) God said, “Let the waters bring forth swarms of living creatures, and birds that fly above the earth across the expanse of the sky.” (21) God created the great sea monsters, and all the living creatures of every kind that creep, which the waters brought forth in swarms, and all the winged birds of every kind. And God saw that this was good.
(22) God blessed them, saying, “Be fertile and increase, fill the waters in the seas, and let the birds increase on the earth.”
(23) And there was evening and there was morning, a fifth day.
(24) God said, “Let the earth bring forth every kind of living creature: cattle, creeping things, and wild beasts of every kind.” And it was so. (25) God made wildlife, herd animals, and creeping things of every kind on the earth. And God saw that this was good.
(26) And God said, “Let us make humankind in our image, after our likeness. They shall look down upon the fish of the sea, the birds of the sky, the herd animals, the whole earth, and all the creeping things that creep on earth.” (27) And God created humankind in the divine image, creating it in the image of God—creating them male and female.
(28) God blessed them and God said to them, “Be fertile and increase, fill the earth and master it; and rule/descend to the fish of the sea, the birds of the sky, and all the living things that creep on earth.” (29) God said, “See, I give you every seed-bearing plant that is upon all the earth, and every tree that has seed-bearing fruit; they shall be yours for food. ...(31) And God saw all that had been made, and found it very good. And there was evening and there was morning, the sixth day.
Rabbi Yehoshua bar Neḥemya and Rabbi Yehuda bar Simon in the name of Rabbi Elazar said: He created him filling the whole world. From east to west, from where is it derived? It is as it is stated: “Back [aḥor] and front [kedem], You shaped me…” (Psalms 139:5). From north to south, from where is it derived? It is as it is stated: “[From the day God made Adam on the earth,] and from one end of the heavens to the other end of the heavens”
If a person is meritorious, it is said to him: ‘You preceded the ministering angels’; if not, it is said to him: ‘A fly preceded you, a gnat preceded you, this earthworm preceded you.’ ...
Rav Naḥman said: [Adam was created] last [aḥor] of all the creations, but was first [kedem] for all punishments. Rabbi Shmuel said: Regarding praising [God] as well, he comes last. That is what is written: “Praise the Lord from the heavens…” (Psalms 148:1), ....He endowed him [Adam] with four features from the supernal realm and four features from the lower realm. [From the lower realm:] He eats and drinks as does an animal, procreates as does an animal, defecates as does an animal, and dies as does an animal. From the supernal realm: He stands as do the ministering angels, speaks as do the ministering angels,

(1)“See the work of God, for who can mend what He has warped?” (Ecclesiastes 7:13)
“See the work of God, for who can mend what He has warped?” When the Holy One blessed be He created Adam the first man, He took him and showed him all the trees in the Garden of Eden, and He said to him: ‘See My creations, how beautiful and exemplary they are. Everything I created, I created for you. Make certain that you do not ruin and destroy My world, as if you destroy it, there will be no one to mend it after you...

And every person has to work conscientiously at this, because “He did not create it for emptiness; He formed it for habitation” (Isaiah 45:18). Everyone has to engage in settling the world, to fill it with human beings, as it is written (Genesis 1:28), “and fill the earth.” The essence of settling the world is when it is filled with human beings—i.e., people with daat, because someone without daat is not at all human.
וירדו נגעת הים And let him dominate the fish of the sea
The expression וירדו has two meanings- ruling and descending. if meritorious he has dominion over beasts and cattle, if not meritorious, he becomes subjugated to them and the beast has dominion over them.

(15) The ETERNAL God settled the Human in the garden of Eden, to till it and tend it.
(16) And the ETERNAL God commanded the Human, saying, “Of every tree of the garden you are free to eat;
(17) but as for the tree of knowledge of good and bad, you must not eat of it; for as soon as you eat of it, you shall die.”
(18) The ETERNAL God said, “It is not good for the Human to be alone; I will make a fitting counterpart for him.”
(19) And the ETERNAL God formed out of the earth all the wild beasts and all the birds of the sky, and brought them to the Human to see what he would call them; and whatever the Human called each living creature, that would be its name.
How was Adam, the first man, created? In the first hour his dust was gathered together, in the second his outline was shaped, in the third he was made into solid substance, in the fourth his limbs were articulated, in the fifth his orifices were opened, in the sixth a soul was infused into him, in the seventh he stood on his feet, in the eighth Eve became his mate, in the ninth he was brought into the Garden of Eden, in the tenth he received his command [concerning the tree], in the eleventh he sinned, and in the twelfth he was driven out.

(10) “What have you done? The voice your brother’s bloods cries out to Me from the ground!

(13) Cayin said to G8D, “My punishment is too great to bear!

(35) In the morning, Jonathan went out into the open for the meeting with David, accompanied by a young boy.
(36) He said to the boy, “Run ahead and find the arrows that I shoot.” And as the boy ran, he shot the arrows past him.
(37) When the boy came to the place where the arrows shot by Jonathan had fallen, Jonathan called out to the boy, “Hey, the arrows are beyond you!”
(38) And Jonathan called after the boy, “Quick, hurry up. Don’t stop!” So Jonathan’s boy gathered the arrows and came back to his master.— (39) The boy suspected nothing; only Jonathan and David knew the arrangement.—
(40) Jonathan handed the gear to his boy and told him, “Take these back to the town.”
(41) When the boy got there, David rose up from his shadows at the Negev. He flung himself face down on the ground and bowed three times. They kissed each other and wept together; David greater.
(42) Jonathan said to David, “Go in peace! For we two have sworn to each other in the name of GOD: ‘May GOD be [witness] between you and me, and between your offspring and mine, forever!’”
