Micah 6:8 as an Interfaith Text Study
Looking at Micah 6:8 so that kids can relate to it
1. Introduce yourself to your chevruta / learning partner.
2. One of you read the text below out loud in English.

(ח) הִגִּ֥יד לְךָ֛ אָדָ֖ם מַה־טּ֑וֹב וּמָֽה־יְהֹוָ֞ה דּוֹרֵ֣שׁ מִמְּךָ֗ כִּ֣י אִם־עֲשׂ֤וֹת מִשְׁפָּט֙ וְאַ֣הֲבַת חֶ֔סֶד וְהַצְנֵ֥עַ לֶ֖כֶת עִם־אֱלֹהֶֽיךָ׃ {ס}

(8)“You have been told, O human, what is good, and what GOD requires of you: Only to do justice, and to love goodness [or mercy], and to walk modestly [or humbly] with your God.

In the Bible, the prophet Micah is giving this message from God.
3. One way of "walking with God" is to do the things that God does. Discuss these questions with your chevruta / learning partner.
A. In the Bible, God gives clothing to Adam and Eve when they don't have clothing (Genesis 3:21). What can you do with your clothing when you don't need it any more?
B. In the Bible, God gives food to the Israelites when they don't have enough to eat in the wilderness (Exodus 16:12). How can you give food to people with cardboard signs?
C. In the Bible, God visits Abraham when he isn't feeling well (Genesis 18:1). How can you be a good friend when somebody misses school because they aren't feeling well?
