PSALM 30:12-13 MOURNING INTO DANCING הָפַ֣כְתָּ מִסְפְּדִי֘ לְמָח֪וֹל ֫לִ֥י

Psalm 30 is one of the Tehillim recommended to recite for "Recovery from Illness." It is a Psalm of healing and hope recited for more than three thousand years. The video is a musical rendition of Psalm 30:12-13 in English and Hebrew (with subtitles). During the parts where the words are "so that my soul might sing to You" and "Forever will I thank You" there are depictions of people helping each other and praying for each other in joy.

(יב) הָפַ֣כְתָּ מִסְפְּדִי֮ לְמָח֪וֹל לִ֥י פִּתַּ֥חְתָּ שַׂקִּ֑י וַֽתְּאַזְּרֵ֥נִי שִׂמְחָֽה׃

Psalms 30:12

(12) You turned my lament into dancing, you undid my sackcloth and girded me with joy,

Psalms 30:13

(13) that [my] whole being might sing hymns to You endlessly; O LORD my God, I will praise You forever.

Psalm 30:12-13 is set to lively music with a special emphasis on the meaning of the words as depicted by pictures of people helping each other and davening (praying) to Hashem (God) for each other especially when the words are "so that my soul might sing to You" and "forever will I thank You"

This expresses the concept that we express our gratitude for being alive each moment in the form of goodness, kindness and love.

Psalm 30 is a Tehillim that is recommended for recitation during times when we beseech the Almighty for "Recovery from Illness" It is a Tehillim of healing and hope.
